This past summer, Professor Peter K. Yu, the director of the Center for Law and Intellectual Property at Texas A&M University School of Law, visited different parts of Asia to expand the Law School's academic and research ties. He presented his latest scholarship on intellectual property, big data, artificial intelligence, pharmaceutical regulation, and the U.S.-China trade war at leading academic institutions and professional conferences. 

Earlier this spring, the Center for Law and Intellectual Property at Texas A&M University School of Law devoted its annual symposium to commemorating the silver anniversary of the Agreement on Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPS) of the World Trade Organization (WTO).

Professor Peter K. Yu spoke at the Conference on Intellectual Property and Development at the World Intellectual Property Organization and a policy seminar at the World Trade Organization. He also discussed the U.S.-China trade policy at the University of Oxford.

Professor Peter K. Yu of Texas A&M University School of Law delivered a plenary address at the 9th Asia-Pacific Innovation Conference (APIC) at the Delhi School of Economics in New Delhi, India. Launched at the University of Melbourne and rotating around the Asia-Pacific region, this annual event is one of the premier conferences on innovation in the region. This event was organized by Professor Sunil Kanwar of the Delhi School of Economics.

This past year, the law school had 35 top 50 law journal placements such as the NYU Law Review, California Law Review and Georgetown Law Journal.

Texas A&M University School of Law Professor Peter Yu contributes an essay to the Yale Journal on Regulation online symposium titled, “Key Insights from Intellectual Property and the New International Economic Order.” The Yale Journal on Regulation is one of the nation’s top-ranked administrative and corporate law journals. This particular symposium critically examines Professor Sam Halabi's new book, “Intellectual Property and the New International Economic Order,”published by Cambridge University Press.

Last weekend, Professors Irene Calboli, Glynn Lunney and Peter Yu of Texas A&M University School of Law participated in the 5th Global Congress on Intellectual Property and the Public Interest. Held at American University Washington College of Law, this anniversary event brought together over 250 researchers, activists and practitioners to work on issues intersecting intellectual property and the public interest. The Center for Law and Intellectual Property at Texas A&M University School of Law was one of the event's institutional partners.  Read more
