Students Enjoy Recent Wins at Advocacy Competitions

Several teams of Texas A&M Law students performed well recent advocacy competitions.

  • FINRA Securities Dispute Resolution Triathlon: 2Ls Baldemar Garcia, Bill Larimer and Madison Young won. The team also won the Negotiation round. The team was coached by Kay Elliott and the team alternate was Christyn Cavazos.
  • MLK Civil Rights Mock Trial Competition: 2L Adam Veary won the Best Overall Closing Argument award. His teammates were 3L Kailey Muir and 2Ls Sydney McCaulley and Alexis Symcheck. The team was coached by Matthew Jackson (’13).
  • National Mediation Competition: 2L Abrielle Perry placed 2nd and 3L Crystal Hernandez placed 4th. The team alternate was Jacob Schuler. They were coached by Kay Elliott.
