Many people often discover their calling in life during adulthood. However, Allison Byrd, a 3L and Fort Worth-native, found her calling long before she graduated high school. By the age of 13, she realized that she could be an ambassador for change in her pursuit to combat human trafficking. Since then, she has cultivated that calling and helped establish similar frameworks on an international level.

Professor Hannah Bloch-Wehba Awarded SSS Fellowship
Professor Hannah Bloch-Wehba was selected as a member of the Institute for Advanced Study’s (IAS) School of Social Science in Princeton for the 2024–2025 academic year. IAS is a leading center for basic research. Each year, IAS awards residential fellowships — known as “memberships” — through a highly competitive process to junior and senior scholars across disciplines. Bloch-Wehba is one of only 20 scholars selected as members of the School of Social Science from a pool of more than 600 applicants.

Cort DeHart ’95 has certainly had a successful legal and corporate career. In 1995, he co-founded a law firm that would eventually become DeHart & Crockett, P.C., where he remained until 2009. He subsequently served as president of multiple companies, including Digital Recognition Network, a company known for its industry-leading location intelligence technology.
