Two Texas A&M School of Law graduates recently secured clerkships with Justice Evan Young of the Supreme Court of Texas. C. Cole Stenholm '18, '21 and Spencer Lockwood '18, '22 will each serve a one-year term.

Ahdieh recently received Downtown Fort Worth, Inc.‘s Innovation Trailblazer Award for his role in helping to inspire and encourage the creation of Texas A&M - Fort Worth, a several hundred-million dollar research and innovation campus. In an unprecedented showing, Texas A&M University School of Law now ranks 29th nationally among law schools, according to U.S. News & World Report’s 2023-2024 ranking of Best Graduate Schools, released today. The newest rankings build upon Texas A&M Law’s already meteoric rise – one of the fastest and furthest increases in U.S. News law school rankings history.

The Boston Marathon is one of the world’s most beloved sporting events and hosts thousands of runners and spectators annually. Carolyn Hoffmann ’89, ’23, an M.Jur student, recently fulfilled a personal goal by completing the 127th iteration of the marathon on April 17.

Domestic businesses and individuals that invest or operate in foreign markets must comply with multiple overlapping domestic and foreign tax regimes. Tax regimes include income tax, value-added tax, and customs tax, among others, encompassing tax reporting, compliance, and accounting. At best, if left unadvised, a domestic business will incur at least double taxation of its foreign income. At worst, a company may attract civil and criminal sanctions for noncompliance.
